If you’re a TV watcher who keeps the remote in action, you’ve probably noticed all the media buzz around the 2010 Ford Taurus. This award winning car has had television personalities chattering across all channels. With appearances on Martha Stewart to recognition from celebrities like Funkmaster Flex, the Taurus is sending out major excitement vibes.
Just recently the Taurus was a major player during a live broadcast of The Steve Harvey Morning Show that was shooting on location at a casino in Detroit. Remarkable opportunities like this don’t come along everyday for auto manufacturers. The terrific visibility extended to Ford the chance to bring the Taurus message to a valuable target demographic, but also offered the opportunity to introduce some of the African American executives who contribute to the success of the company.
Ford representatives interviewed included Earl Lucas who is the Lead Exterior Design Manager for the 2010 Taurus, Felicia Fields a VP from Human Resources, and Crystal Worthen, a marketing manager from the multicultural division.
This appearance wasn’t all show and tell. Ford got creative with the air time by having audience members compete against the show’s team members in an interactive game based on the Taurus and its ten class exclusive features. That’s the kind of advertising you just can’t buy.
Late last summer the show introduced an interview series titled the “Faces of Ford”. This segment gives the company the opportunity to profile their African American executives, design team and plant managers. All are key employees that from behind the scenes are helping to shape the future of Ford cars.
The appeal for the 2010 Taurus is widespread. If you’d like to find yourself driving one in the near future, you’d better sign in with your local dealer while supplies last.
