As the winner of the 2008 Ford truck and Monster Jam competition, Michelle Stockton of League City, Texas, hosted her very own Monster Jam party at the Houston Motorsports Park. More than 1,000 of her “closest” friends and family members showed up to enjoy a great time courtesy of the 2008 Ford truck lineup and Monster Jam.

Stockton was only one of 40,000 fans that entered for a chance to win the grand prize. Earlier this year, she flew to Las Vegas with four other finalists to attend the Monster Jam World Finals. During the event, each of the finalists picked a random key that started the 2008 Ford truck that was onsite. She was the lucky winner. “When I turned the key and saw the lights come on in the truck, I couldn’t believe it,” Stockton said.

Her greatest joy, however, was the fact that she was able to give the gift of a personal Monster Jam to her nine-year-old son, Ryan. “He brought his best friend along with him and they came down to the floor with us and helped us say, ‘Ladies and Gentleman start your engines,’” she said. “He was thrilled.”

To find 1,000 people to invite to the event, Stockton sent invitations to everybody in her son’s school, people at her church and all of her family and friends. The party began with a parade down League City’s Main Street when Stockton and her family rode in Blue Thunder, one of the monster Ford trucks.

Does this sound exciting to you? If so, why not enter next year’s competition? It really is the opportunity of a lifetime.
