The Ultimate Mix Of Ford and Truck Returns

Earlier this year, Ford announced that it would delay the release of the all-new 2009 Ford F-150. THe F-150, which is the vehicle that truly defines the combination of “Ford” and “truck,” has been down in sales recently. As gasoline prices rise, and as the economy in the United States has been going through some difficulties, Ford decided to delay the launch hoping that the fall would find the climate for the new Ford truck a much more acceptable one.
It isn’t only Ford trucks that have been suffering, of course. No matter what manufacturer, pickup truck sales have been down in recent days.
In late September, almost 2,000 Ford workers who had been layed off, will head back to the factory to make sure that they’re ready for the Ford F-150 to roll off the line soon. Even salaried workers at the plant have been working alongside hourly workers to get things up and running. This also helps to insure quality, as the supervisors and engineers will be more intimately familiar with the vehicle and the manufacturing process.
In addition, Ford will be offering some incentives on the F-150. It is expected that Ford will release the vehicle to the market very soon.
