The crooner with the unmistakable voice and variety of sing-along hits recently had to reschedule his Missouri performance due to “acute laryngitis.” This is according to his doctors after leaving a Cleveland, Ohio show early due to an unusually-raspy voice.

Many performers would have just told their fans “too bad” if they did a shortened concert with a bad voice. But not Mr. Neil Diamond. For those who were extremely disappointed in the Cleveland show, he offered a refund. “I haven’t let you down before and I won’t let you down now,” he said on his website following the concert. As a result of his throat problems, he also rescheduled some other dates both here and overseas to ensure he can get back to 100% before doing more damage to his voice.

Neil Diamond has sole more than 125 million records since his first album was released more than 40 years ago and he continues to entertain whenever he can.
