For those truck buyers who are worried about fuel economy, your local Missouri dealership has the answer. Coming soon to a Missouri dealership near you is a new and improved Ford F150!
In an effort to keep customers happy and satisfy their urge to be fuel-efficient, the Ford Motor Company is releasing a new type of engine in the ever-popular F150 in 2010. Brett Hinds, an advanced engine design manager for Ford, said the automaker is going to install the new EcoBoost engine in the F150 after seeing how it performs in the Lincoln MKS and Ford Flex this year and next.
The new EcoBoost engine offers the power you’d expect from a full-size truck without risking fuel economy or miles per gallon. It uses turbochargers and direct injection to accomplish this feat.
Like other automakers, the Ford Motor Company is looking for ways to be environmentally-friendly by using current technology and improving upon it. Ford will continue making the F150 with V8 engines for buyers who still want that type of truck.
Does this sound intriguing? If so, why not visit a local Ford dealer and get an F150 today? By the time the EcoBoost rolls off the production line in the F150, it’ll be a great time to trade your truck in!
