This new collaboration between Ford and Southern California Edison is the first of its kind in the United States. The two major companies plan on using each other’s expertise to perfect the electric vehicle technology while also monitoring consumer and marketing trends over the next few years. They hope that - one day - they will be able to incorporate the vehicle into the home’s electricity grid, making cars more convenient and reducing greenhouse emissions.
